Instructions for downloading drug information from the central database

Start Tivatrainer (version 8 required)

Press New and confirm the patient data

Press Edit Drug Library
Tivatrainer will be minimized and the drugs library editor will be started showing a window with a grid with the drugs available in Tivatrainer.

Alternatively you can select the Drugs Library Editor under Edit in the main Tivatrainer menu

In the Drugs library editor under File select import record from internet.

Import_warning.jpg (52325 bytes) 6 Make sure that you have a working internet connection and confirm the warning on constraints in usability of the data. 
Import_1.jpg (72599 bytes) 7 The program will now connect to the central database and will load the available drug categories. If you are not connected to the internet it will show a warning message that it cannot find the specified URL.
Select a drug category (or all drugs) and press
1:select drug categories
Import_2.jpg (88299 bytes) Drugs belonging to the category will be extracted from the database and listed in the second window. Select a drug by clicking on it and press 2:place selected drug on import list
The drug record will be copied to next window: list of drugs to be imported.
You can repeat these steps for other drug records.
Import_3.jpg (107727 bytes) 9 Finally press 3:Import drug(s) into local Tivatrainer druglist, or remove drugs from import list.
If the same drug record exists in the local drug list, a warning will be issued and the record will not be imported.  
Drug_editor_newdrug.jpg (75547 bytes) 10 This window will close and you will see the Tivatrainer drug library editor. Close the editor and confirm saving the file. Tivatrainer will be maximized showing the new imported drug records.
