Decrement time |
|||
Decrement time can now be displayed as a line. You can set up any dosage and let the tivatrainer calculate the time required to decrement the concentration to an absolute or relative (%) new value. This can be calculated for blood or effect site.
By definition the context sensitive decrement time is calculated after a target controlled infusion (pseudo steady state). |

Copy and Paste |

Dosages can be copied and pasted from one simulation to the other. This is very useful for comparing models or population effects. Dependent on the selected input bolus/infusion or targets will be copied. tip: if you want to see how a target controlled infusion would work out in another model: -Enter the targets in TCI mode -Switch from TCI to Manual -Copy and paste infusions to another window with the different model/patient |

Compare Models |

Another way of comparing models is to display them together or show the differences. This is possible for 6 drugs together in one graph using the advanced graph tool. Concentrations may be displayed or subtracted, cumulative dose or infusion rates. tip:exporting from this graph gives a higher resolution then tivatrainer itself. Calculations in this window are dependent on the pixel resolution of your screen |

Internet Database (SHOW ME) |

There are many compartimental pharmacokinetic models available. Within the Tivatrainer there are only a few and not always the ones that you are looking for. It is now possible to enter the pharmacokinetics in the Tivatrainer and to upload and download these sets to a central database on the internet so that other users may profit. | |||

Animate a simulation |
|||
When you use tivatrainer in lectures to explain basic principles it is often useful to 'animate' a simulation so that the audience is not overwhelmed by all the graphical information at once. You can setup a simulation, save it with the 3 compartment model open in animation mode to a template and upon opening the simulation will 'play' real time or faster. |

Integration with PowerPoint |

You can hotlink from within slides to Tivatrainer simulations. After loading Tivatrainer will stay in memory and will allow you to switch back to your PowerPoint presentation without closing the Tivatrainer. tip: If you get warnings in PowerPoint when loading Tivatrainer templates then: in PowerPoint go to <tools> <Macro> <security> and lower the level. Do not forget to restore the level when you connect to the internet. tip: if you only want a picture of the Tivatrainer then press CTRL C in Tivatrainer and paste the clipboard content (CTRL V) to a slide in powerpoint |

Keyboard-free input |

Sliders that are operated by the mouse only, are now available for drug input. During workshops you do not need your keyboard to enter data. If you have a radio-mouse you do not even have to be close to your computer. For accurate input numerical input is still available. tip:If you need to increase bolus, infusion or target more then the system allows you then simply increase the maximum of the left axis |
